The School of Graduate Studies offers several options for a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and a Post Baccalaureate/Graduate Certificate in Nursing Education.
MSN
Baccalaureate-prepared registered nurses can advance their practice without specializing. The program graduates are also prepared to pursue a post-master’s certificate of their own interest.
MSN – Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP)
Students who successfully complete this program are eligible to sit for board exams and earn a certification to be licensed to practice as an Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP) from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
Post-Baccalaureate/Graduate Certificate in Nursing Education
Salem State's post-baccalaureate certificate in nursing education is designed for registered nurses who already have a bachelor’s degree in nursing and would like to become nurse faculty, clinical faculty, or professional development educator. The program is offered fully online.
Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Nursing Education
Deadlines
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis for spring and fall enrollment and reviewed once complete.
