Judges Dino DiPalma, owner and founder GTM D Consulting, and Deirdre Sartorelli, director and assistant dean of the Angle Center for Entrepreneurship at Endicott College, had a tough time on Saturday, April 10, when 11 ֱ students pitched their creative and diverse business ideas to a virtual audience of students, faculty and community partners.
Congratulations to the 2021 Viking Business Pitch Competition winners:
- First prize went to Toiell Washington, a senior sociology major, who pitched “The Master's Tools,” a board game that teaches people about systems of oppression.
- Second prize went to Benine Mudymba, a second-year graduate student working toward an MS in Social Work, for “The Natural Sis,” a beauty consultation service.
- Third prize went to Katie Ciccolini, a senior business major for “The Salem Witch Subscription Box,” a monthly box that contains items from local Salem Witch shops. The theme of each box is based on the cycles of the celebration of pagan holidays.
