Campus Guide to Winter Break

As fall semester comes to a close, we hope that all Vikings have an opportunity to disconnect, regroup and enjoy their winter break!

Here’s a guide to what’s open and closed on campus between fall and spring semester. With the exception of holidays on 12/24 and 12/31, offices are staffed during winter break. However, staff may be working remotely. to find the best contact for your question.

Student Navigation Center

The SNC is currently supporting students virtually to stop the spread of COVID-19.  by phone, email or Zoom.

Virtual support: Mondays, 8:30 am-4:30 pm, Fridays 10 am-4:30 pm

Berry Library and Learning Commons

Starting January 3: Open

Gassett Fitness Center

December 23 – January 15: Closed

Reopening Sunday, 1/16 with regular hours: see for details.

Admissions

Regular Hours: 

In-person support () Tuesday-Thursday, 9 am-4:30 pm

Dining

Dining halls close December 22 at 2 pm.

Starbucks will re-open on January 3: Monday-Friday 9-2 pm.

Residence Halls

December 22: All residence halls close at 7 pm

(Residents should vacate halls within 24 hours after their final exam.)

January 16: Halls re-open at noon. 

Ellison Campus Center and Campus Food Pantry

Ellison Campus Center is closed from December 23 at 5 pm-January 3 at 8:30 am.

Food Pantry Hours

The building will be open from 12-4 pm on the following dates for students to access the food pantry.

  • Friday, December 24
  • Monday, December 27
  • Thursday, December 30
  • Friday, December 31

Regular campus center hours resume on January 3.

Covid-19 Testing

Winter break testing:

  • Monday, January 3 from 11 am-1 pm

  • Wednesday, January 5 from 1 pm-3 pm

  • Monday, January 10 from 11 am-1 pm

  • Wednesday, January 12 from 1 pm-3 pm

Counseling and Health Resources

  • For general counseling or health concerns you can call CHS and leave a voicemail at 978.542.6413. Students can also message CHS providers using the student .
  • Students can upload their immunization records on the student health portal under “Medical Clearances” or have their provider fax their documentation to health services at 978.542.7121. These records will be reviewed within 3-5 business days.
  • If a student needs mental health support, the mental health support line is available 24/7: 978.542.8327

COVID related concerns (including an exposure or positive test result)
