Research Day | Annual Celebration of Research, Scholarship, and Creative Activities

Friday, May 3, 2024 | 9 am-6 pm | Various locations on campus

Each spring, on Reading Day, CRCA hosts Research Day, a day-long event celebrating scholarly and creative activities of Salem State undergraduates, graduates, faculty and staff. This celebration of scholarship is a fantastic opportunity for students, staff, and faculty of all disciplines to showcase their academic accomplishments, engage in interactive panels sessions, connect with colleagues across campus, and discover the academic work of the entire Salem State community.

CRCA encourages faculty to keep Research Day in mind when planning academic and creative writing, research, presentation, and performance assignments this year. On Research Day, faculty, staff, and student presenters are welcome to share posters and creative displays, create or join panels, and perform new scholarship or work that has been presented elsewhere during the academic year.

For more information on Research Day, visit salemstate.edu/researchday

Fulbright Scholars and Scholarships | year-round programming

CRCA regularly organizes events to help faculty apply for a Fulbright Scholarship. CRCA invites a Fulbright representative to campus to discuss opportunities and sponsors opportunities for interested faculty to meet with previous Fulbright recipients. In the spring and summer, CRCA also organizes writing groups for faculty interested in applying for a Fulbright.

Contact CRCA faculty fellow Vanessa Ruget for information on Fulbright support.

Editing Support | fall and spring semesters

CRCA offers tenured or tenure-track faculty a grant providing editing support for manuscripts intended for publication.

Faculty can request up to five hours of editing assistance from CRCA program assistant Jessica Cook by submitting a brief request detailing the project, type of editing needed, intended outcome, and a sample of the text to ssu-research@salemstate.edu with "Editing Support Grant" in the subject line.
