Dear Salem State Community, 

The presidential search committee has completed its work. Four finalists have been selected from a large, diverse pool of highly qualified candidates. ´ºÃÎÖ±²¥â€™s 14th president is expected to be chosen by the Board of Trustees from among these candidates and presented to the Massachusetts Board of Higher Education for approval in June. 

The candidates will be on campus next week for a series of open forums (schedule below), including final interviews with the Trustees. Your participation in the open meetings is welcome and encouraged. You will be asked to complete a survey within 48 hours of each candidate’s visit, providing your confidential feedback to the Board of Trustees.  

The final candidates are:

• Deborah Bordelon, PhD, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Governors State University
• Bashar Hanna, PhD, Professor of Biology, former Vice President of Academic Affairs and Dean of Faculty at Delaware Valley University
• John Keenan, JD, General Counsel and Vice President for Administration at ´ºÃÎÖ±²¥
• Anny Morrobel-Sosa, PhD, President and Founder of The Micaela Group, former Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs, Herbert H. Lehman College, City University of New York (CUNY)
