Important Information Regarding Spring Break

Mar 9, 2021

Dear Vikings,

We hope that you enjoy your spring break week safely. Here is what you need to know before you go, during, and when you return from spring break. Please review carefully as you will be required to have a “cleared” badge before your next in-person class or activity.

Before you go:

  • We encourage you to get tested before you go.
    • Schedule a test, using the CoVerified app, at least 72 hours before you leave campus and travel to see family and friends who are not currently in your “pod.”
    • Unnecessary travel is strongly discouraged.
    • Please keep all COVID safety tips in mind, including: no large gatherings, wearing a mask any time you are around others or in public, and maintaining physical distance.

During Spring Break:

  • If you will be on or near campus during Spring Break:

  • If you will be off-campus for more than a week please set your CoVerified app to “remote” status.
    • This way we will know you are off-campus and will not be expected to comply with weekly testing. Please change your status back to “on campus” when you return.

Returning from Spring Break

  • Before you come back to in-person class and activities you must get tested and be “cleared” on CoVerified.
    • Please plan to get tested at least 48 hours before your next in-person class or activity.

After Spring Break:

  • Weekly testing requirements resume.
    • Testing schedule for O’Keefe the week after Spring Break (schedule on CoVerified):
      • Sunday, March 21, 3 – 5 pm
      • Monday, March 22, 10 am – 4 pm
      • Tuesday, March 23, 10 am – 4 pm
      • Wednesday, March 24, 10 am – 4 pm
      • Thursday, March 25, 3 – 7 pm
  • Your CoVerified badge should be “cleared” before going to in-person class, participating in in-person activities including the Gassett fitness center and Marsh dining.
