Faculty and Staff News in August 2023

Professor John McArdle (accounting and finance) is in Kosovo teaching at the University of Prizren's International Summer School. Professor McArdle, who was a Fulbright Specialist to Kosovo in fall 2022, met this week with the university rector, Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and U.S. embassy staff to discuss further opportunities for international collaboration.  



Professor James Noonan (secondary and higher education) contributed a chapter in an edited volume by Helen Haste and Janine Bempechat, titled New Civics, New Citizens: Critical Competent and Responsible Agents. In the chapter, Professor Noonan argues that more democratic beliefs about learning could be used to improve professional development. 



 

Professor Stephen Young鈥檚 (geography and sustainability) article, 鈥淕lobal and Regional Snow Cover Decline: 2000-2022,鈥 published in the journal Climate, received media coverage from NBC: the Boston Globe: and several additional outlets, including:   , , ,
