Professor Felix 鈥淧hil鈥 Amato (social work) is quoted in published in the Boston Globe on February 4, 2022.
Professor Joanna Gonsalves (psychology) and Professor Emeritus Rich Levy (politics, policy and international relations) have been funded by the Massachusetts Teachers Association for the Massachusetts Campus Debt Reveal Project, an activist research project which brings together faculty, staff and students to better understand the amount of institutional debt and its consequences on campuses across Massachusetts and then organize to change that situation. Two students, Cassidy O'Connor, (POL 鈥23) Emily Moran (Elementary Ed/ Math 鈥23) have been named as SSU coordinators.
Professor Dane Morrison's (history) chapter, was published in Negotiating Masculinities and Modernity in the Maritime World, 1815鈥1940 (Palgrave Macmillan, 2021).
Professor Thea Popolizio (biology) with colleagues from Trinity College, University of New Brunswick, and the University of Rhode Island, has published in Cryptogamie, Algologie, an international journal of the systematics, ecology and evolution of algae and other cryptogams. The paper explores historical records of a major group of macroalgae in the Bermuda islands and uses molecular data to update the taxonomy of the group and present two new species.
Professor Kanishkan Sathasivam (politics, policy and international relations) is extensively quoted in The Media Line article , which examines the negotiations between the US and Iran on Iran's nuclear program. The Media Line is a US news outlet focused on Middle East news.
