SSU Geological Sciences Students Honored at SSU Earth Days

Congrats to SSU Geological Sciences students Madison De Felice and Drew Berman for being recognized during this year’s SSU Earth Days! Madison was awarded the Student Friend of the Earth Award for her "exceptional commitment to healing our planet through environmental advocacy and earth science". Drew earned second prize ($150) in the Earth Days Research Poster Competition for their poster on 'Utilizing Remote Sensing to Assess Soil Contamination'. Well done to both for their hard work and contributions to earth science!
