Two-hundred Students to Volunteer for Third Annual First Year Day of Service

Aug 21, 2018

On Friday, August 31, 200 students, along with 125 student leaders, staff, alumni, and faculty, will fan out across the surrounding community for the third annual Moving Forward, Giving Back: ´ºÃÎÖ±²¥â€™s First Year Day of Service (MFGB).

MFGB is organized by ´ºÃÎÖ±²¥â€™s Center for Civic Engagement and its First Year Experience Office. About 30 community partners will welcome students for volunteer projects that include painting and building, preparing meals for shelters, registering people to vote, helping public schools prepare for the first day of school, and working on community gardens.
