The Center for Academic Excellence and the first-year experience office, with support from retention services, disability services, and tutoring, are excited to announce Virtual U: a series of workshops designed to help students prepare for success in online classes.
Faculty and staff are encouraged to invite their students to attend these workshops.
Topics include:
- Navigating asynchronous classes
- Taking notes in online classes
- Tips for online learning success
- Avoiding the most common mistakes in online classes
- Faculty tips for online success
- Earning participating point online
- Staying focused in an online class
- Tips and tricks to navigating Canvas
- Keeping your motivation up while learning online
- And more!
Virtual U workshops occur Monday-Friday, January 4-15 at designated times.
Details regarding session topics, dates, times, and zoom links will be available in mid-December on the Canvas page. No advance registration is required for students. They can pick and choose what they want to attend and simply log on at that time.
