Accreditation
Occupational therapy at Salem State offers two unique, part-time evening options for adult learners seeking an entry-level master’s degree in occupational therapy.
- Combined BS/MS bridge program in occupational therapy for OT Assistants who have obtained an associate's degree in occupational therapy from an accredited OTA program Note: Only certified occupational therapy assistants with an associate's degree from an accredited institution may apply to this program.
- Direct-Entry MS program in occupational therapy for those who have completed a bachelor’s degree in another field of study
Accreditation and Assessment
The occupational therapy program at ´ºÃÎÖ±²¥ is fully accredited by the (ACOTE), the accrediting body of the (AOTA). Enrolling in an accredited program provides our students with two primary assurances:
- Our program is adherent to strict ACOTE standards
- We will ensure a continued commitment to improve program standards
Accreditation also benefits potential employers knowing that our graduates have met or exceeded industry standards. In fact, a degree from an accredited institution can often be a requirement for employment.
