Create and facilitate safe spaces to support Black/Brown women and men, respectively, to build resilience, engage deeply with their communities, and empower each other. Independently and together, these groups will explore issues and structural barriers impacting them as they conceptualize positive futures for themselves.
Strong Women, Strong Girls (SWSG):
SWSG champions the next generation of female leaders through an innovative, multi-generational mentoring program. College mentors visit local elementary schools and use a research-based curriculum built on the stories of strong female role models to mentor and bolster the confidence of girls and young women. CJL Student Council
Advised by the Director of the Center for Justice and Liberation, the CJL Student Council is composed of the presidents of all identity-based student organizations housed within the Center. They meet regularly to discuss opportunities for collaboration and support, updates on upcoming events, and news from Center staff.
