Learning Communities
Learning communities offer the opportunity for first-year students to share a small, dynamic group learning experience connecting two or more courses in an exploration of a common theme. Working together with faculty in small learning teams, students have the opportunity to immerse themselves in an experience designed to explore the ways that ideas and knowledge cross traditional class and discipline boundaries. Each community is limited to 20 students. Registration in one section of a learning community requires registration in all courses within that learning community. Each course meets specific general education or major requirements. Involvement in a learning community is based on a first-come, first-serve basis.
