鈥淚 chose Salem State because they had the program I wanted, and also because of the environment. I also wanted to be closer to a big city like Boston, and that is why I chose to come here. The classes here are small and the professors are great. I think the SSU and Salem community is very open, and the people are really nice. I feel very safe in Salem, and I have made many new friends. I like that the city is big but not too big. I love that it鈥檚 close to the ocean as well.鈥 -Natasha Farina, Master of Science in Geographical Information Systems, from Rio De Janeiro, Brazil
