Scholarships List
We have a number of scholarships that are offered on a yearly basis. Please reach out to the department chair if you have any questions.
Gardner-Hanson Trust scholarship
What: The Gardner-Hanson Trust was established by Dr. Lindley Hanson of the Geological Sciences Department to provide funding opportunities for Geology majors conducting research in GLS500. The trust provides funds for resources that are not directly available at SSU but would help facilitate the student research efforts. Writing grant proposals is a fundamental part of supporting scientific research efforts in industry and academia alike.
If you are enrolled in GLS 500 and plan to conduct a research project that costs money, please plan to apply to this scholarship requesting funding that will support your research goals.
