Responsible for assisting the Campus Life and Recreation team to effectively market and promote events and initiatives through various avenues, with an emphasis on social media engagement and enhancement of the student experience at departmental programs.
Assists with the social media strategy, schedules posts on multiple platforms, creates and edits short-form videos, collects analytics to contribute to departmental reporting, and identifies unique ways to engage audiences.
Must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and have enthusiasm for a wide range of programs and events.
Responsible for providing high quality supervision and administration for Salem State’s esports program. This position carries out the day-to-day operations of our esports lounge. Tasks include documenting usage, customer service, facilitating leagues and tournaments, maintaining cleanliness, and enforcing lounge policies.
Knowledge of the esports community and experience with video games is preferred although not required. Individuals must demonstrate strong leadership and decision-making skills as well as conflict resolution, communication, teamwork and appropriate conduct.
Training will be provided for administration of all esports. Individual must be certified in CPR/AED and First Aid. In-house training will be provided for those not currently certified.

Supervises all Gassett Fitness Center facility spaces and oversees matters related to the operation of all activity areas in the O'Keefe Complex. Must have a thorough knowledge of all areas of Campus Life and Recreation programming. Responsible for opening and closing of facilities for recreational usage and special events, responding to accidents, injuries and emergencies, completing appropriate paperwork, and enforcing departmental and university policies to all facility users. Will be responsible for the processing of financial transactions. Must possess strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills and be able to work a flexible schedule. Position requires early morning, late evening and weekend hours.

Responsible for providing a high level of customer service while supervising all fitness areas, enforcing policies and procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment for patrons, and providing member satisfaction during all shifts. Provide information concerning safety and usage of the facility and equipment, as well as all programs and services, and lead facility tours and equipment orientations.
Serve as the main point of contact for all Gassett Fitness Center patrons. Responsible for providing superior customer service by greeting all members and determining membership eligibility for all individuals entering the Gassett Fitness Center. Provide patrons with information regarding programs and services, assist with program registration and complete departmental filing and data entry. Also responsible for equipment check-out.
Individuals must have a thorough knowledge of all areas of Campus Life and Recreation and ´ºÃÎÖ±²¥ in order to provide information to students, faculty, staff and guests who wish to use the Gassett Fitness Center. Prior customer service experience a plus.

Work with Gassett Fitness Center members of various age, gender and ability levels.
In this group setting, instructors are required to motivate and educate class participants on proper exercise techniques. Instructors design and implement safe and effective group classes, provide a motivating and enjoyable environment, and assist participants with equipment set-up and use. Classes must be safe and effective for all fitness levels with intensity modifications provided as necessary. All instructors must implement proper cueing and injury prevention practices.
A nationally accredited Group Fitness and/or specialty certification is required. All instructors must also hold and maintain current CPR/AED Certifications.
Responsible for providing high quality supervision and administration for men's, women's, and co-rec team sports. Individuals play a critical role in activity and game day supervision and administration. This includes field/court set-up, officiating and enforcing the rules of sport offerings, upholding intramural policies, and ensuring a rewarding recreational experience for all participants.
This position is physically active and sport and/or officiating experience is preferred although not required. Individuals must demonstrate strong leadership and decision-making skills as well as conflict resolution, communication, teamwork, and appropriate conduct.

Assist in the supervision and administration of the intramural sports program. Oversee matters related to the operation of all intramural sports activities. Must have a thorough knowledge of all intramural sports offered by the Department of Campus Life and Recreation as well as the entire Intramural Sports Handbook.
