At Salem State, we offer the opportunity to seek a full degree leading towards an official administrator license as well as a one-year teacher leader certificate. Explore both of these options.

I Want to Become a School Counselor in a Public School 

Our school counseling and school adjustment counseling programs will give you the skills you need for a career as a public school counselor. 

I Want to Work in a Preschool or a Community Setting 

We offer  two undergraduate degrees for students looking to work with children outside of the public K-12 system, including private child cares and preschools, camps, museums and community programs. 

In addition, our educational studies minor is available to undergraduate students from any major who is interested in education but not pursuing a teaching license.
